Why It Matters

The Quartz-1 is the ultimate antidote to our screen-obsessed era. It slows you down. It teaches patience.
No autofocus. No stabilization. No excuses.

Each frame you shoot is a decision. Each second of footage — earned.

QUARZ  8mm

In an age of seamless plastics and silent lenses, the Quartz-1 reminds us of a time when cameras clicked, whirred, and demanded attention.
Designed and manufactured in the USSR between 1974 and 1993, the Quartz-1 was more than a tool — it was a declaration of functional minimalism. A Soviet Leica, in its own unspoken dialect.
